Goverment Grants For Heat Pumps

What Government Grants Are Available For Heat Pumps?

As well as saving up to £1,350 on your heating bills, government incentives are available when you have a heat pump installed.

The main incentive for installing an Air Source Heat Pump is the RHI or Renewable Heat Incentive.

What is the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive)

The RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) is the government scheme put in place to financially reward customers who are benefiting from renewable energy sources to heat their properties.

There is a separate RHI for domestic and commercial customers.

The domestic RHI is a seven year scheme where you will receive payments every quarter . This is a pre-determined and fixed payment that is linked to the Consumer Price Index and therefore increases with each year.

Receive £875 to £1,030 cashback per year in the form of the Renewable Heat Incentive – For An Average 4 Bedroom Property With A G-Rated Oil Boiler By Installing An Air Source Heat Pump.

To claim your RHI, contact us and we’ll help you through the process.

There are many reasons why considering having a Air Source Heat Pump installed is a positive investment.

How Much Will My Heat Pump Cost?

Average costs for an air source heat pump & installation are between £7,000 to £18,000.

The cost of your air souce heat pump system is off-set by reduced running costs & quarterly Government payments in the form of the Renewable Heat Incentive. Air Source heat pumps can “pay for themselves” in just a few years, depending on your current energy costs & what type of system you already have.

Typical running costs are up to 60% lower than Oil or LPG heating systems.

We have a number of plans to help you start saving by installing a heat pump.

What Is A Heat Pump?

An Air Source Heat Pump is a unit that will be located outside of the property. It takes air in through the pump and boosts it to a higher temperature. The Heat pump does use electricity to power the unit but will use less electricity to power the Heat Pump than the heat it will provide for your property. On average every unit of electricity the Heat pump uses for power it will generate 4 units of heat and typical running costs are up to 60% lower than Oil or LPG heating systems.
